The Hove Business Association was founded in 1929 and at that time was known as the Hove Traders Association. The name was changed some 20 years ago as it now represents a very broad spectrum of the businesses of Hove and Portslade.

Amongst our membership we have Accountants to Solicitors, Retailers to Wholesalers, Financial and Vehicle Funding Advisers, Transport to Leisure, Estate Agents to Property Developers, Designers to Banks, Hoteliers to Wine Merchants.

The HBA is financially and politically independent. Its only source of funding is through membership subscriptions and therefore dedicated exclusively to serve members’ interests. It is the only membership organisation devoted to the needs of businesses in Hove and Portslade.

The Officers and Committee Members kindly give their time and energy free; this enables the annual subscription to be kept at a minimum, currently set at just £30.

We are able to use all our funding for administration costs and providing funding for projects that support the development and encourage commerce in our area.
