Visit Hove

Beautiful, clean, friendly and inviting........ just four words used to describe Hove from a recent visitor survey.

Hove showcases the best of the City no matter what time of the year. With the sea painting a perfect backdrop and a magnificent variety of stunning Edwardian architecture and Regency terraces, squares, shops and cafes, Hove is an oasis to enjoy at your own pace.

An essential stop for any visitor wanting to know more about the area is the Hove Museum and Art Gallery, a fantastic FREE attraction that will delight the young and old alike. Other great venues in Hove include the Sussex County Cricket Club, Hove Lagoon and Foredown Tower.

Fancy a bit of relaxation in a beautiful green space or want somewhere where the children can run off some energy? The historical St. Ann’s Well Gardens and Hove Park both offer the perfect opportunity to either chill out or get active depending on your desires.

A perfect way to get to Hove is to “promenade” along the seafront until you reach Hove Lawns (with its colourful beach huts) and then stroll a couple of minutes north up one of the magnificent avenues until you reach Church Road with its array of independent shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The pedestrianised George Street is a short stroll eastwards offering another opportunity to shop and enjoy a continental atmosphere.

Next time you’re in Hove, stop and have a chat to one of our friendly shopkeeper’s, a barman or waiter they are always happy to suggest another “favourite place” in Hove.

Tucked away off Western Road, this venue hosts a range of plays, performances and book readings.
